Get Ready For A Men In Black Spinoff

New ‘Men in Black’ spinoff wants Chris Hemsworth to play as its Agent K.

Chris Hemsworth is apparently in line to take the role of Agent K, he is currently in early talks with Sony to star in the Men in Black relaunch, according to Variety. The company is considering making the Marvel star one of the two agents in the 2019 film, which could be…interesting.

At the beginning of February, news broke that F. Gary Gray is interested in directing the spinoff, coming off the success of Straight Outta Compton and The Fate of the Furious, which was 2017’s third highest-grossing film after it made a whopping $1.2 billion off of a $250 million budget.

With a great director possibly at the helm, it’s no surprise that Sony is now looking for fresh talent since Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones already decided not to reprise their iconic roles in the film. The new movie will stick to the same premise of the originals: the story of a secret task force with the duty of policing a hidden alien population. Smith and Lee ran their course with the franchise after two sequels, and now it looks like Hemsworth may be stepping up to take one of their roles.
